I've been working in Dreamweaver this week and I've forgotten how to do several things when creating a website. Like how to apply background color, I know its sad lol. So I re-learned how to everything that I knew how to do. I am happy with how my website is coming along. I'm almost half way done. I want to make it the best website I've ever made. I was frustrated when I had to keep changing my layout because I just didn't like any of the ways I set it up. I want to be more creative when I make a website but I don't think i can learn to be more creative.

US military secures Panjshir Valley

I think its cool that some of the Muslim people are going to help protect the Americans against the Taliban. But I still think that we shouldn't spend so much time over there trying to change a country that obviously doesn't want to change.

Dreamweaver CS4

I actually like this version better than CS3. I mean yeah it's going to take a while to get used to it but I really like it. Except I kind of forgot how to do pretty much everything in Dreamweaver, but once I watch some tutorials my mind should be refreshed. I really enjoyed web design last year so I figured I would do some again this year =)

Same-sex marriage bill voted down in New York Senate

I wasn't surprised or mad at the fact that the bill didn't pass. It just shows how we have to fight for our rights and to keep pushing until that day comes where NY passes gay marriage. I surely won't give up and I know other people won't either. I know many people in the senate are old fashioned and that's why they voted against it but its the 21st century, there are thousands of people in the US that are gay/lesbian or bi. There are famous gay people like Ellen Degeneres and Elton John and I'm sure people in the senate like at least one of them. But I know in the future it will pass. We just got to keep fighting.

Weekly Comments 11/30 - 12/4

This week I've learned more effects in photoshop such as how to change the shadow/highlights, Apply the same filter on several different photos, how to use camera raw in adobe bridge, how to reduce noise, etc. I actually like doing photoshop tutorials. I was frustrated when i messed up a photo completely and had to re-do it all over again. But when i finished two tutorials this week I was very happy. Hopefully my website will be good and finished by the time it's due. I want to learn more about photoshop since there are so many effects you can apply to a photo.

Motorola Droid: Big Time Seller

So there's this phone called the Motorola Droid that Verizon Wireless is selling. It's a "must have" or the new "hot" item. It has a touch screen, slide–out QWERTY Keyboard, 16gb micro SD card pre-installed in it, WIFI capable and surf the net. Pretty much anything a nerd or business man could ever want in the palm of their hand. But if you think about it, how many times over the years has there been other phones that have been "a must have"? I remember when Motorola Razors were the hottest thing. But since everyone thinks its a must have they are selling like crazy. It's estimated that between 700,000 - 800,000 have been sold already. Verizon hopes to sell at least a million. Honestly, i got through phones several times a year and I do think this phone is amazing not gonna lie but i don't think I'd pay 300 dollars (since I'm not able to upgrade anytime soon) for a phone that could three months down the road break on me or freeze up a lot. I payed 129.00 out of pocket for this LG ENV3 and it freezes and shuts off on me all the time and I've only had it for 3 months.

Photoshop CS4 Tutorials

Last year I hated doing photoshop. It bored me to death and i was really happy once it was over. But this year I actually like the tutorials in the Photoshop CS4 CIB book. All the effects you can do to a picture is amazing. So from now on I'm probably going to do as many tutorials from this book as I can.

Demonstrators demand justice in Puerto Rico gay teen's slaying

See this specific hate crime happens everywhere around the world. Like seriously, what are people's problems. If you don't like gay people THEN DON'T LOOK AT US! It's not hard to do. I hope this guy who killed Jorge gets the death sentence. That will be justice. We will keep fighting for equal rights around the globe. Eventually we will get them. Gay marriage will be legal in all 50 states, there won't be a problem adopting children and maybe people will stop looking at us as a different species and look at us for who were are. I HATE PEOPLE =)

Google OS: the end of the hard drive?

I think it's a neat idea of how they want to get rid of hard drives and replace them with non-volatile flash memory and internet-based storage for saving all of your data. Like if your computer crashes, your files are saved on the internet so you don't have to worry about losing them. But I do still like the traditional hard drive but I am interested in trying something new.

Okay I love Lady Gaga and all but I am so confused when it comes to her Bad Romance video. I don't get the concept of it. There's people in freaky costumes, her eyes are all wacky and the dancing is really weird and lame. Like come on Lady Gaga I know you can do better than that!

Weekly Comments 11/16 - 11/20

Well this week I learned what producers jobs are all about. It's actually more complicated than I thought it was. Having to switch cameras at the right time, queuing the camera men when to move and all that. It has to be perfect to get the perfect show. Nothing really frustrated me this week. I was happy with learning more about how studio production works. I thought it was really interesting. I want to learn more about how to work the audio board. I found that really cool.

I know I post many blogs about the war/military. It's mainly because I'm patriotic. I mean I have an American eagle tattooed on me lol. That's something i strongly believe in. My step dad is in the Military, so are my step brother and sister. I'm following in their footsteps, not because I feel like I have to, it's because I want to. Defending my country, defending it for those who can't and if people don't like the fact that I post many blogs about this then don't look at my blog =D

Guantanamo Bay

So apparently President Obama wants to close Guantanamo Bay Prison, which if you've forgotten holds terrorists that were involved in the 9/11 attack. Now here's my opinion...ARE YOU STUPID? Close down a prison surrounded by water and bring them into our country. Oh that sounds fantastic. Bring them them to our country which they attacked and protect them while they are here so no American can harm them. Honestly, the governments IQ is like 25 today. It would be a war crime to torture those who to this day are torturing families who lost their loved ones when the towers fell. I say to hell with the war crimes. We fight against all enemies, foreign and domestic. I say torture them all twice as much as they did to us. Yeah there is a chance we wont win the war but at least we can kill as many possible while we are over there.

Obama's Issues

Health care:

Obviously congress still can't come up with a solution for health care. Here's MY solution. First off, maybe if stuck up, rich, greedy business owners would bring their business back to America instead of sending them to China because it will be a lot cheaper it would bring your economy out of this "recession". Then oh my god people will be able to afford health care because they will have jobs! Now that isn't a hard thing to do is it rich business owners and congress. Do you need me to change your diaper too or are you capable of doing that?

Bring jobs back -> People will go back to work ->

Education:

As far as this goes, we need more technology in the class rooms. Not spoil the kids, but technology that will help them expand their learning. Like for example, computer. We need more computers in schools that don't have many. Using a computer has helped me with essays, projects, etc. Then in the math rooms they should put those smart boards. I think that is the best piece of technology that has been created to use the in the classroom. My Senior Topics teacher has one in his room and it doesn't take up half as much time as using a chalkboard.


In order to do all this congress needs salary cuts and need to start spending money wisely. I know that's hard to do because you find it fun spending hard working Americans money. But if you'd stop acting stupid you would be able to do it. I believe if your not looking for a job, trying to get one, you don't deserve unemployment. I thin if your disabled, were hurt on the job or laid off, you deserve money but those lazy people who sit around who have ten kids who cant even support them should get off your lazy a** and work at MacDonalds at least =)

Fort Hood Shooting Rampage

Now because of this incident, it will be harder to get into the military I believe. They'll probably make use take a test to make sure we are mentally stable to join. Thanks a-hole for shooting the most important people in our country. I wouldn't be surprised if another country that didn't like us tried attacking us because people who live here are attacking their own country! Other countries probably think we are a joke because of this. What is wrong with people today seriously? If i had a dollar for how many stupid people are in this country, I'd be a millionaire.

This video is so funny. I love how she used certain effects to make it look like she was from outer space. Like when the camera zoomed in on er finger and it lighted up, when she had certain backgrounds like the stars and the spaceship setting. This video was pretty good i thought.

Weekly Comments 11/2 - 11/6

This week I didn't really learn anything. I just worked on my one video about cosmetology. What frustrated me was how my video turned out. Some shots I tried to razor it to make it sort of flow with the rest of the film and it wouldn't work out. I was happy about actually filming a video and getting something done. I want to learn more about using the green screen. Like creating more than one person, finding different backgrounds and putting them on the green screen.

Weekly Comments 10/26 - 10/30

I learned how to make different shots lighter by using the color correction in final cut. It has made a big difference. I was frustrated because when i was filming, some of the shots were kind of fuzzy sounding. So i had to try to fix the sound. I was happy that i shot a lot of footage. I want to learn to use the green screen and put different back grounds behind me when I'm filming. I think it would be neat.

Buffalo News 10/24/09: Parent complains of conduct at dance

I don't like the fact that parents think they should vote on a club at school. The Gay - Straight Alliance brings together gay and straight students to help them understand each other. PARENTS DON'T GO TO HIGH SCHOOL and if you don't like the fact that it's in Niagara Wheatfield, home school your children. It prepares them for the REAL WORLD. Gay people will be everywhere they go. I think this parent along with many others are homophobic and need to get over themselves. I am outraged that they say "two males students kissing" in the article. YOU ACT LIKE THEY WERE COMMITTING A CRIME!! They were kissing, THAT'S IT! Why don't you worry about taking care of the bullying and the illegal drugs being sold in our school. People don't choose to be gay because no one chooses to have to deal with people like this specific parent and many individuals who pretty much are discriminating against us. It's just like being racist. Do you see us saying "Ew look at those straight people, I don't want people to be exposed to that" NO WE DON'T. So leave us alone and worry about yourselves. I think I speak for many gay students when I say "WE WOULDN'T CHANGE FOR YOU OR ANYONE ELSE ON THIS EARTH!"

Weekly Comments 10/19 - 10/23

I've learned how to use the ripple tool in final cut. I like using that tool better than the razor. But sometimes when i was doing the ripple tutorial like it wouldn't work for me. Maybe I don't read directions carefully. I was happy to find out there's a tutorial on music videos I can do because I most likely will make fun of a video in the future. I want to learn how to do like a ghost effect. How to make someone look like a ghost in a video. I think that would be awesome.

The Fallen Soldiers

These men and women who gave up their lives to protect our freedom. Just remember the next time you complain about not sleeping at night or traffic being slow, these people have to worry about not coming home to their families. I strongly believe in fighting for what's right, fighting for freedom. But this war honestly has gotten out of hand. We haven't gotten anywhere in the past 9 years. I don't think its a waste because we are fighting back for what those terrorists did to us but we haven't made progress. I say hurry up, end the war and bring our troops home safely.

Ghosts at disneyland?!

I'm guessing special effects made these "ghosts" seem to appear real but really they aren't. I think it would be cool to be able to do special effects like that.

Film Props

These effects are amazing! They look so real. Like the face with the flesh gone. It is kind of gross looking but it looks real. I wish movies would use more props like this because some of the movies coming out today still look really bad. I'd like to know who hires some of these directors. They need to work on small productions before moving to big ones! Start making movies scary!!!

Star Wars Ep. V: The Empire Strikes Back

I would really like to know why this movie made $290,271,960 dollars in 1980 throughout the US and $534,171,960 dollars worldwide when it came out on May 21, 1980. Seriously, Star Wars isn't even a good movie. Maybe because the technology used in the movie fascinated people? I don't know but i think the movie is stupid. I like movies from the 1980's but this definitely not on my favorite list. The need to stop making Star Wars movies. Along with Michael Meyers and Jason films. Ugh movie productions make me mad.

Sundance Festival 2010

I think it would be awesome to be able to go to the sundance festival. I've heard that several of the films entered are spectacular or even any big film festival I would love to go to. There are so many creative minds in this world and it seems like people who go to these gain new knowledge from it and make even better films than they ever have before. Movie reviews

After watching this trailer, I think this movie will be good but not great. I don't get that feeling of "Oh I'm glued to the screen because this movie is so interesting." It's a good story but not something I would spend 9 bucks to go see when it comes out. 3.5 out of 5 stars.

It's about these two guys who fought in the war who have to go to people's homes to tell them a relative has died during combat. I like movies that have the concept of the military of war and after watching this trailer I feel like this movie is interesting...I give it 4 out of 5 stars.

It's Just Funny.

Wow, just wow.

Salary cap is needed.

Wow this is kind of ridiculous. Britney Spears makes $737,868 on average per month. Just to sing, perform, photo shoots. Yeah i get it that she's probably tired from doing all that but That's almost 3/4's of a million dollars in just ONE month! Why can't some of that money go towards helping find a sure for cancer or going to feed the homeless? I make $7.50 an hour and i work about 20 hours a week. So that's about $150 a week and about $600 a month and that's before taxes! I think singers should have a salary cap!!!!
I mean yeah i love Britney Spears but no one needs to make that much money. There's many people that can sing. I don't get it.

This week I've learned how to use motion in film from the tutorial but it frustrated me. I didn't like how when tried to apply something to a clip or whatever it was and it wouldn't do it. But other than that it was a useful tutorial. I'm very happy to blog. I'm like a blog freak now, I have to post whatever my opinion is on a certain topic. I love it. I want to learn more filters and things like that from tutorials. Maybe how to make a clip into negative colors.

Has Technology Made Us Lazy?

I have to agree and disagree with this. It has made us lazy because now we have tivo to tape our shows, what happened to just using a vhs? In school its made kids open less text books and go on the internet more. I also disagree with this statement because it's helped make having a social life easier. Like with the cell phone, if we were back in the 80's they only had a house phone. So if you had to tell a friend at the last minute that you had to go somewhere, you simply couldn't. So it could go both ways. But it's made my life easier. I still walk to get my mail and to mail things, i go to the mall to buy clothes instead of online. Blackbutton

This short film had me glued to the screen the whole time. It's about a guy who has to choose between salvation and condemnation. Like how did they make the blood come out of his head? Like i know there's a tube type thingy that the fake blood comes out but he has no hair so where did they hide it?! Watch it, it's amazing.

Longer days and shorter summers?

So apparently Presidnet Obama wants school hours to run longer each day than it already is. I disagree that this should happen because we go to school for about 7 hours a day as it is. If they increase it even an hour, how are kids suppose to have a social life? How are they suppose to play outside with their friends? They won't have much time for it. Extended the school year isn't something i would want,. I like having 2 1/2 months off. I'm sure that teachers enjoy having summer off too. Its what the people want, not what congress or the President wants. I'm sure many other americans would support me on this topic.

In the music video Boom Boom Pow by the Black Eyed Peas showed different effects. I think they are pretty amazing and the way the edited the video makes it look like it takes place in the 22nd century.

The New Nikon!

So there's this new camera, the Nikon D5000 which i totally want. It has 12.3 megapixel, 19 auto-exposure scene modes, continuous shooting as fast as 4 frames per second, in-camera Retouch image editing and many more features! Like it's the perfect camera and it would help me take awesome pictures for the change project during the year but the thing is, it's over $700 dollars. It looks like I'm gonna have to work many hours to get that camera.

Weekly Comments 9/21 - 9/25

During this week at boces I've learned how to use more filters when editing videos. Like the one that fixes lighting in different clips a lot, that was awsome, it helped my film a lot. I had a hard time putting filters on different clips which frustrated me but then I got the hang of it. I'm happy that i completed a short video this week, but it should of been longer. I want to learn more about filters. Like to create weird effects like a negative clips or do something like adding a bubble with a thought. Something cool like that. Honestly nothing really interested me this week besides learning some new filters oh and watching everyone's movies, those were funny.

Solar Home

I found this really interesting. There are groups of kids who had to design solar homes. The winners of 2007 from Germany had an expensive house. It cost them about 1 million dollars to make. I think its really cool how people are really trying to make homes and everything green approved because i sure don't want to live to see the world get engulfed into the sun ha. That's just scary thinking about.

Obama: No Decision on War

So apparently President Obama hasnt made a decision to send more troops to Afghanistan. Yet it says 21,000 more troops are getting sent there including a friend of mine. I believe in fighting for our country yeah but this war has gotten out of hand. What are we really fighting for now? To help the citizens of there get a better life? We need to worry about our own country before helping others. Like helping people in Africa, Afgahnistan and where ever else. No we need help here then we can help them. Our country is going under and no one seems to care because the people in congress are greedy liars who just say gimme gimme gimme and don't do a thing to help us. I know i write my blogs mostly about polictics but they make me very mad.

Capitalism: A Love Story

So i saw the preview for this movie a few days ago. I love Michael Moore's documentaries. He brings out the truth about America. This one is about capitalism. I believe that most of the CEO's of companies are fake and all they can do is lie. They take money from hard working Americans and they wouldn't be rich if it wasn't for the people. So take a few minutes to watch this. I think you'll enjoy it.

Well this week i learned how to put different filters on clips in final cut. Some of them were really neat and will come in handy. The one thing that frustrated me was on the tutorial was trying to apply a filter, i believe it was the one where i had to apply a certain filter to other clips and it wouldn't let me and i kept trying for like 20 minutes. I was VERY mad. I was very happy to learn also more about the senior cameras, they are awsome! It was a great week.

Obama Speech 9/10/09

I agree and disagree with President Obama's health care plan. I agree that universal healthcare would benefit people who lost their jobs or are looking for a job. One american helping another in time of need. But I also disagree with the idea because your paying for people's health care who sit around doing nothing who won't even try to get a job. I wouldn't want to pay for lazy people.

Movie time!

So I'm excited to express the idea I have for my first movie. I plan on making a documentary on gun control. I know Michael Moore made one called bowling for columbine but I want to ask teens my age their opinion about it. The main problem as to why that shooting happened at Columbine because no one listened to those kids. No one was there for them. The anger and frustration of those teens is what lead to the shootings i believe. Plus the sale of guns to young adults. I'm hoping that this documentary I create shows people that there's always another option you can take and just because your mad about something doesn't give you the right to take innocent peoples lives.

First week

The hardest task I've had to do was coming up with an idea for the change project. It's frustrating not going to lie, but I know i'll come up with something. But overall I like my senior year at boces.
