The New Nikon!

So there's this new camera, the Nikon D5000 which i totally want. It has 12.3 megapixel, 19 auto-exposure scene modes, continuous shooting as fast as 4 frames per second, in-camera Retouch image editing and many more features! Like it's the perfect camera and it would help me take awesome pictures for the change project during the year but the thing is, it's over $700 dollars. It looks like I'm gonna have to work many hours to get that camera.

Weekly Comments 9/21 - 9/25

During this week at boces I've learned how to use more filters when editing videos. Like the one that fixes lighting in different clips a lot, that was awsome, it helped my film a lot. I had a hard time putting filters on different clips which frustrated me but then I got the hang of it. I'm happy that i completed a short video this week, but it should of been longer. I want to learn more about filters. Like to create weird effects like a negative clips or do something like adding a bubble with a thought. Something cool like that. Honestly nothing really interested me this week besides learning some new filters oh and watching everyone's movies, those were funny.

Solar Home

I found this really interesting. There are groups of kids who had to design solar homes. The winners of 2007 from Germany had an expensive house. It cost them about 1 million dollars to make. I think its really cool how people are really trying to make homes and everything green approved because i sure don't want to live to see the world get engulfed into the sun ha. That's just scary thinking about.

Obama: No Decision on War

So apparently President Obama hasnt made a decision to send more troops to Afghanistan. Yet it says 21,000 more troops are getting sent there including a friend of mine. I believe in fighting for our country yeah but this war has gotten out of hand. What are we really fighting for now? To help the citizens of there get a better life? We need to worry about our own country before helping others. Like helping people in Africa, Afgahnistan and where ever else. No we need help here then we can help them. Our country is going under and no one seems to care because the people in congress are greedy liars who just say gimme gimme gimme and don't do a thing to help us. I know i write my blogs mostly about polictics but they make me very mad.

Capitalism: A Love Story

So i saw the preview for this movie a few days ago. I love Michael Moore's documentaries. He brings out the truth about America. This one is about capitalism. I believe that most of the CEO's of companies are fake and all they can do is lie. They take money from hard working Americans and they wouldn't be rich if it wasn't for the people. So take a few minutes to watch this. I think you'll enjoy it.

Weelky Comments 9/14 - 9/18

Well this week i learned how to put different filters on clips in final cut. Some of them were really neat and will come in handy. The one thing that frustrated me was on the tutorial was trying to apply a filter, i believe it was the one where i had to apply a certain filter to other clips and it wouldn't let me and i kept trying for like 20 minutes. I was VERY mad. I was very happy to learn also more about the senior cameras, they are awsome! It was a great week.

Obama Speech 9/10/09

I agree and disagree with President Obama's health care plan. I agree that universal healthcare would benefit people who lost their jobs or are looking for a job. One american helping another in time of need. But I also disagree with the idea because your paying for people's health care who sit around doing nothing who won't even try to get a job. I wouldn't want to pay for lazy people.

Movie time!

So I'm excited to express the idea I have for my first movie. I plan on making a documentary on gun control. I know Michael Moore made one called bowling for columbine but I want to ask teens my age their opinion about it. The main problem as to why that shooting happened at Columbine because no one listened to those kids. No one was there for them. The anger and frustration of those teens is what lead to the shootings i believe. Plus the sale of guns to young adults. I'm hoping that this documentary I create shows people that there's always another option you can take and just because your mad about something doesn't give you the right to take innocent peoples lives.

First week

Things that I've learned this week at boces is blogging. Before I never knew how to use it and thought it was confusing. But it's actually quite easy. The hardest task I've had to do was coming up with an idea for the change project. It's frustrating not going to lie, but I know i'll come up with something. But overall I like my senior year at boces.
