Weekley Comments 4/26 - 4/30

This week I filmed with Sam and Courtney for the Sour Punch Straws video. That made me happy to finally get through it without laughing through each shot. Hopefully everything turns out the way it should. Nothing really frustrated me this week. I was happy everyday. I want to learn how to make movies in black and white with the like 1930s effect. That would be super cool.

China drops of "Dirty Dozen" chart

This is exactly why we shouldn't have china make our computers! Look at how much malware they put into the computers we buy everyday. We need to start making electronics, clothing, makeup, etc in OUR country. But companies are so greedy today that of course they will take away thousands of jobs from hard working citizens just to save a bunch of money because the Chinese will work for pennies. Stop being greedy and have Americans make products. I bet if we made computers here that they wouldn't have half as much spy ware/malware =)

iPhone vs iPad

I read the article about how similar and different the apps are on both the iPhone and iPad. Honestly, they are way more similar than different. Most of the apps are just bigger on the iPad because its 10x bigger than the iPhone. Diffidently not impressed about the iPad. I give it two thumbs down. I'd rather have an iPhone.

McAfee to compensate home users for bad update

This is exactly why I hate programs that are "supposed" to protect your computer from getting hacked or whatever. Your suppose to protect OUR computers that have confidential information on them and when you mess up all you can say is sorry? DO YOUR JOB! Make sure your program isn't going to mess up. That's why you are supposed to check it 1000 times before letting it out to the general public. I keep seeing companies messing up and everyone's computer crashes or something. Who are we supposed to trust now to keep our computers free from this crap, when most companies are failing?

Coda's everyday electric car

Finally an electric car! I think its a great idea. I mean yeah electricity is bad for our environment too much not half as bad as gasoline. I was pretty stoked when i heard about this.

Ghost Recon Future Soldier: Future War (Europe)

I ABSOLUTELY love any type of film that has to do with the military. In this clip, the special effects are amazing. There is a scene where the one soldier has an invisible cloak on but you can still tell where he is and its just awesome, enough said. Watch it.

Korea cuts off kids' online gaming at 12am

Now about the whole video game/online gaming. Pretty much Korea is taking away kid's rights to play online games at night. I get that they are addicting and kids spends hours and hours glued to the monitor but that's their choice. You can control how many hours you play games, just most people don't until they get bored or tired with it. Yeah many people while on the computer or playing video games tend to eat snacks which indeed are bad for your teeth but yet again its their choice. What's next? You cant eat more than a certain amount of candy everyday? Let people live their life the way they want to. If they wanna be stuck on computer all day and weigh 500lbs then let them, thats the life THEY choose.

New Macbooks coming soon

Well I've looked at the new MacBooks and they look the same as the old ones. I think that Macs run so much faster than PCs and i love how the desktop Macs don't take up much room like PCs do. But these laptops don't impress me. Its like they could of made the new mac laptops more creative than just plain boring. But the battery life seems a little better and it has 500GB storage on the hard drive which i like. I give it one thumbs up and a sideways thumbs up.

I didn't really learn anything this week. Ive mainly been working on my project. I'm happy with how its coming along but i was frustrated when i went to put my files for my project on my computer at boces, they weren't there. I finished the website too. So i was pretty mad. I'm not sure on what i want to learn.
